The gentle breeze ruffles the cloth of her dress, and he would be lying if he said he didn't see, didn't take notice. But he's enough of the proper sort not to let his eyes linger, or become too distracted. Though the smile on her face, whether teasing or otherwise, is enough, warms a deep place inside his chest. He takes another sip of wine letting that have his concentration for a moment. When she mentions June, he laughs, shaking his head, at her phrasing, but knowing it likely true. June was his little sister. He'd do anything for her, and she was very much aware of that. He couldn't help it though. He still had this image of her as a baby asleep in her crib, something meant for him to protect.
