James sees the wave of emotion that passes through Davin, the hint of tears in his eyes. He looks relieved and touched, and James is just happy he could do something to make him look this way compared to the way he saw him after his attack---broken and battered.

He lets Davin take his hand, not thinking about what could be in The Cove or anywhere else. He had done his job, and it made him feel like he'd done good. Finally "You're welcome. I must admit I really can't wait to arrest those two," he says.
