"Oh." James settles back in his chair. He isn't sure what he expected Davin to say but perhaps not that. "Well, that story's not so bad," he says, shrugging and smiling too because he sees the embarrassed look on Davin's face. He doesn't know how The Cove manages to track down all this information, but he's definitely had worse printed about himself and his family.
He assures Davin with a nod. "No grief, nothing like that. I'm glad I went. I had fun." Their waiter returns then to take their food orders, and James orders first then looks to Davin to see what he wants. He didn't ask if Davin has even been to Francesco's before, otherwise he could've made some suggestions. He had been a little distracted with the news of the arrests.
"It might be later. I'm still waiting to hear from the judge, and I unfortunately need to go see my father before I head back to the station," he says, once the waiter has left.
