"Surprisin' me with an intimate dinner on Valentine's Day?" Davin asks with
a soft chuckle, cheeks pink in the soft glow of the candlelight. "Yeah, I'd
say all is forgiven."
Not that he was ever upset with James in the first place, and he hopes that
James knows that. He smiles at him and lays his napkin over his lap before
reaching for a piece of bread and tearing it in half. Davin is just
slightly overwhelmed, in a good way, and he just sort of stares at James in
wonder as he chews. Once he realizes what he's doing he takes a healthy sip
of his wine as he finally tears his gaze away.
"How is the family, anyway? Any fallout from the night's events?" He
reaches for his fork to start in on his salad, but he keeps his interested
eyes on James.
