His mood sinks as Davin begins to explain himself because not only is Davin clearly confused about their situation but he doesn't seem to remember James at all. No wonder he is look at him so strangely, essentially James is a stranger to him. With a sigh, he shakes his head. "I know you. Well, not you. Not this version of you," he says, unsure how to explain. He isn't sure if this is his Davin or not, or if this is Davin just with his memories changed to some weird version of the truth.

Davin seems to think he lives in this strange new place.

"I am not a prince. I don't live in a palace. I don't even live here. Wherever we are," he says. "But I know you because we're dating. You just don't seem to remember."
