"Maybe so," James agrees with a fond smile. Whether this is truly the Davin he knows or not, there is something innate about him that James feels a connection too, something about his presence that draws him in, and he knows it's because his feelings for Davin are strong. It would make sense that he would like him in this world too.

He looks over at him, guessing that the servant will return for them when dinner is prepared. "Well, what do you do here? Where I'm from, you are a mechanic. You fix things," he says. There's probably no such occupation here as there aren't exactly cars being driven around.
