"I didn't set out t'guilt ya," Davin says with a laugh, grinning fondly down at James. "Ya felt guilty all on your own, which musta meant ya cared about me at least a little, even way back then."

The way that James smiles at him makes Davin feel warm all over, cherished and cared for, and he leans down to kiss him again, sliding a hand up under James' shirt to let his fingers travel over soft, warm skin. "Can we be done hikin' now? I'm thinkin' we should head back t'camp."

The sky is just starting to turn pink at the horizon, and Davin knows that soon they'll be under a glorious sunset. He feels so blessed in this moment, and he grins at James' lips. "Unless ya want t'get naked with me right here in the grass."
