"I was just enjoying the view of the lake. I did no such thing," James says with a smile, squeezing Davin's hand as they walk back along the path towards their campsite. He finds himself thinking how nice this is, and easy. If anything six months together is quite the accomplishment for any couple but they had started off on such the wrong foot that it's even more amazing Davin didn't come away hating him. It's obvious these days that their relationship is serious, and he's pretty happy with that.

It takes awhile, but several minutes later they finally make it back to the camp. James takes off his gear that he brought for their hike. Then he goes over to Davin and puts his arms around his waist and smiles. "For a first hike I'd say you did perfect."
