After all the bullshit that he's been through, Davin now sort of feels like he's living in a dream world. Things with James are fantastic in a way that he didn't even know they could be. His business is booming, and nothing terrible has happened in Siren Cove in weeks. It might be a new record.

Tonight he's sleeping at James', but he and Edan still go back to the apartment after work only to shower off all the engine grease and change into clean clothes. Once he's done, he hops into his car with Edan sitting dutifully in the passenger seat, fluffy tail wagging as they drive.

He hums a happy tune as he lets himself into James' house, and Edan trots over to his bed in the corner and curls up with a chew toy. Davin sets his keys and overnight bag down and follows his nose into the kitchen, sniffing curiously. "Jamesy? Where are ya, babe?"
